Black ice said to be cause of fatal Ohio crash

Motor vehicle accidents have the potential to end tragically. Whether it is a one or multiple-car crash, there is no guaranty that anyone who is involved will walk away unharmed. Many people assume that inattentive or negligent driving are often the causes of these accidents, but sometimes weather and the condition of the road play a huge role in these crashes.

Unrealistic expectations could have caused your truck accident

Truck drivers are not only expected to do their jobs, they are expected to exceed expectations. When you are not behind the wheel of a vehicle, exceeding your company's expectations can be a great thing, but when you are expected to produce certain results as a truck driver, it can be dangerous. In fact, it has left people injured and dead.

AAA says lack of sleep is dangerous

We've all been tired behind the wheel. Whether it's because of restless night of sleep before our daily commute or traveling long distances under a tight deadline, the results can be dangerous if not lethal for yourself or others. According to "Acute Sleep Deprivation and Risk of Motor Vehicle Crash Involvement," a new 19-page report released by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, drivers who don't get enough of sleep in a 24-hour period face increasing odds of a crash.

Trucker Taken Off the Road after Lethal Crash

A mother and her two small children died on November 15 when a truck heading east crossed the center median on Interstate 70 and crashed head-on into the family's passenger car. All three were wearing their safety belts. On December 16 after an investigation, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has issued a shutdown order for Texas-licensed truck driver Steven Wayne Johnson, 42, who was responsible for the accident.
