Black ice said to be cause of fatal Ohio crash

Motor vehicle accidents have the potential to end tragically. Whether it is a one or multiple-car crash, there is no guaranty that anyone who is involved will walk away unharmed. Many people assume that inattentive or negligent driving are often the causes of these accidents, but sometimes weather and the condition of the road play a huge role in these crashes.

In Ohio, a man recently died after losing control of his SUV. It has been reported that the driver hit black ice, which was the cause of him losing control of his vehicle and landing upside down in a ditch on State Route 218. The passenger of the vehicle walked away with minor injuries.

Many of the crashes that occur on U.S. roads involve more than one vehicle, but the SUV was the only vehicle involved in this crash. When the roads are not clear and free of ice, or when the weather conditions are severe, people have to be especially careful when driving. But they should be just as careful in case they do encounter a driver who is driving reckless, inattentive or even drunk as this can be just as risky as weather and road conditions.

Not everyone is lucky enough to walk away when they have been involved in a motor vehicle accident. Survivors have to find a way to pick up the pieces and get things back on track. Filing a complaint against the liable party and seeking compensation can sometimes offer the help needed to those who have been injured in an accident. An attorney can assist with this process and try to get you the compensation you deserve.
