Victim of crash faces weeks of pain and suffering after dragging

Those who enjoy riding motorcycles willingly face the possible dangers that are posed by road conditions, adverse weather and distracted drivers. However, there are accidents that are preventable and result in a victim facing weeks or months of pain and suffering as they work to recover. A recent accident in Ohio has taken a heavy toll on one unfortunate victim.

On a recent early Sunday morning, a man and woman on a motorcycle came to a stop at a traffic sign. Before they could proceed on their way, a driver in a large pick up purportedly attempted to pass the couple. As he maneuvered around the bike, he instead ran into it and knocked the pair off of it.

As the motorist started to leave the scene, he then ran over the woman. In the process, she somehow became lodged under the vehicle and was dragged more than 160 feet. The driver then purportedly exited his truck, freed the victim and left the scene. Both victims were later transported by emergency responders to a local hospital for treatment.

Ohio police are still attempting to locate the truck and driver believed to have caused this senseless accident. The male victim was expected to be released from care soon; however, his female companion is expected to face weeks of pain and suffering as she regains her physical health. Along with the mounting medical costs both victims may be facing, the woman will most likely sustain additional monetary damages from time off work and related costs. Once the driver responsible for this wreck is located, both victims may elect to file personal injury suits against him in an effort to recoup the financial losses caused by this preventable wreck.
