Mr. Scott is a 1989 graduate of Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, who has risen through the ranks at Volkema Thomas to become a key litigator, partner, and administrator for the firm. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Craig concentrates his practice representing people injured in auto accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death claims, brain injury, defective products, intentional tort litigation, and railroad crossing accidents. He has been a member of the American Board of Trial Advocacy (ABOTA), which is a national organization consisting of lawyers and judges, and is committed to the right to a jury trial.

Mr. Scott presents to attorneys and paralegals at numerous seminars on insurance law, trial preparation, and also speaks frequently about changes in Ohio law and its impact on those who have suffered losses.

A hometown product from the Columbus suburb of Westerville, Craig also clerked for The Supreme Court of Ohio for three years while attending law school.

Recent Data

  •  In 2008, Craig participated as trial counsel in a case against the Franklin County, Ohio, Sherriff's Office for its failure to properly respond to the repeated 9-1-1 calls for emergency help from a woman who was being physically and sexually assaulted, resulting in her murder, and the jury awarded $2.75 million dollar judgment. Craig received the 2008 Louisville Slugger Award from the Central Ohio Association for Justice for his work on this case.
